clothes at bama

by: Pnm

I've heard not to bring too many Tshirts because I'll wear the ones for my sorority mostly, but what kinds of clothes should I bring with me? I'm looking for like brands, styles, whatever is popular down there. I just want to space things out so I don't have to buy everything at once! What is one thing you couldn't live without?

bring like a month's worth of t-shirts!! you won't get any till big-little week or be able to wear them till initiation. and OTBTs are a really cute, comfortable wedge sandal!! most girls down here have them and i personally love them because of how comfy they are :)

Rain boots and rain jacket. Seriously. Heck, throw in a canoe so you can get to class!

Kendra Scott and Alex and Ani are really big down here. I thought that Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines would be cool but no one really wears them so watch out for that.

planners and umbrellas and some of the plain dresses are cute, but when it's all that's in your closet, it's excessive and you look like a mom

Go with well-made basics like flowy, well made tees that you can wear while it's warm and you can pull out later when it cools down.

While it's true that t-shirts are a wardrobe stable, during the cooler Fall and Winter months, it becomes more common to see sorority girls wearing "normal" clothes like jeans, boots, and shirts.

I wish I didn't waste my money on buying a "new" wardrobe full of esoteric prints and trendy clothes (like rompers) that look icky after a few months.
