Wear comfortable shoes, I felt like my feet weighed 100 pounds not even halfway through the first day. I do agree don't let the group think get in the way. I heard a girl in my group talk about how "nerdy" a house was and it negatively swayed my opinion of a totally amazing house.

Some of the Rho Chis will talk poorly of some of the houses. Don't listen to them. Just look at the experience as making new friends, and you'll be okay. Even if you get dropped from recruitment, if you made a positive impression on an active, they will look you up later and you'll possibly be on the radar for COB.

A few jboards got let go in the middle of rush last year for this very reason- they didn't realize one of the rho chis for that party was in that particular house. PNM's if your rho chi/jboard is doing something like this please ignore it.
