Wait what is the Facebook group? I'm transferring in the fall and I feel super out of the loop.. Please explain? What cards?

"Hitting some up on Facebook" means messaging them in through the chapter's Facebook page. However, many chapters pay no attention to their Facebook pages. They're more into Instagram and Twitter.
Cards - a lot of sororities sent Christmas cards (and may be sending Valentine cards) to PNMs. Means nothing. They just want to get their names in front of PNMs.
Get your name on the list for cards, preview parties etc. by going to the UA Panhellenic website. There's a form you can fill out. Scroll down the home page to find it.
It's really not that big a deal. BUT - do go to the website and read, read read!

If you know girls in the houses, you may have connections more than you know. Saying as if the out you on their house list to receive cards, etc. too even if it's one girl's mom who it two years older than you, but you moms are friends type thing. It is certainly not a bad thing you're receiving cards, etc. already, but play from it and step up your game by maybe adding them on FB or contacting rush chairs, in a subtle way, like Q said- raise your profile in the house.

wait so what are you supposed to say in an email or social media post? also, i thought you werent supposed to follow theiraccounts bc of some rules or something?

Pnms that have connections in houses are already being rushed in various ways. If you don't have connections, just getting cards means you are in the system. Start hitting some up on Facebook and email the rush chair and try to raise your profile a bit.
