is it hard to get a bid from AXO? Do they have a lot of girls from out of state?

Not hard at all. They take quota or quota plus every year, same as the other houses!

really?? funny... because AXO had the highest amount go girls put them as number one with one of the, if not the, smallest pledge class. So yes, it's hard.

going through rush I could tell they were one of the harder houses to get a bid to. Most people did not have them on their schedules past ice water tea round, at least not in my rho chi group or any of my friends. They like girls who are the whole package so it helps to be attractive, athletic, and have above a 3.7 gpa because they take grades extremely seriously.

Yes, it is hard to get a bid from AXO. Keep in mind that with more girls going through recruitment every year, it only gets harder. You might be exactly what this "Well rounded, Top Tier" house is looking for, though.

Keep in mind that each house looks for something different in PNM's. This can even change yearly! Please know that depending on your personality and accomplishments, it could be easy or hard for you to get a bid at ANY house at Alabama.

IMHO girls aren't really cute, but very good grades and activities. They care a lot about "winning", it felt like a high-pressure place to me, but others might like it.

im not even an alpha chi but i will say that they are one of the most desired sororities on campus. they're kinda known to have the whole package. they don't usually go out of their way to rush girls. they already have who they want before rush even starts and they mostly just stick with rushing them, however there is always a few that are discovered without any connections. they have the biggest cuts each round.

@not an AXO is spot on. They, together with KD and DDD, are pretty much full based on legacies and connections. So "total package" means they have in-house actives working to sell them, they have very solid high school credentials and grades, they stand out in some activity or in some other way and they are reasonably attractive. By far the most important thing, however, is that they have in-house actives working for them and thus are "known" (so to speak). Not saying walk-ons (no prior connection) do not show up and knock socks off and grab a bid, but it does not happen with any meaningful volume and is not something anyone should count on happening -- not matter how awesome you think you are.

PS - because connections in-house are so important at AXO, they might have the fewest OOS of any house. seems like they are over-whelmingly in-state. if an active is not an Alabama girl, she is a strong legacy from an SEC state and probably went to camp or high school with one or several actives (or is the best friend of somebody who did).

I believe KD has the lowest OOS numbers. Or AGD.

To be honest, all the old row houses and AGD are pretty darn OOS centric.
