spring teas

I signed up for the interest form not knowing that I would possibility be getting invites to spring teas. I'm OOS and not really sure if I can afford a flight to go to them. Will it seem rude if I get an invite and don't show up?

The houses understand that some girls can't make it for various reasons. Whether it's your situation where you just live too far away to come down for that weekend or there's a conflict such as a game for the sport that girls play. If you can make it, then come! But if you can't, then do not worry about it! Lots and lots of girls are in your same boat.

I hope to get invites to spring teas. My best friend lives near UA. If she gets invites to teas that I don't, can I go with her to her invites? Vice Versa, could she come with me to my invites if she didn't get an invite to that tea?

I forgot to say I'm a legacy. I know that doesn't assure me of a bid. I'm just happy to go through rush at Bama and get in a house. But How do I let my "legacy" house know I'm a legacy and want to come to their spring tea? I filled out the interest form but it didn't have legacy info. I don't want to get blacklisted or anything. Thank you

Have your mom/grandma/sister/relative fill out a recommendation/legacy notification form and send it in to the Alabama chapter.

So my mom should send in a notification form that I would like to get invited to their tea. Is this a different form than what she would send in before rush? Thanks again!

All she has to do is send them a note. Even an e-mail will work. She should give them her full name with maiden name, maybe add the year she was in the sorority as an active. If she's not from the Alabama chapter, then they'll need to know where she initiated.
