spring teas

How important is it that I go to Spring teas (if I'm invited) and I'm out of state? Since I'm so far I really can't get down there much. Thank you!

If you're from really far away, it would only help you more. I say that you definitely need to make it if you can, but don't stress about it if you can't! They are a really great way to meet girls in the house and get a feel of each house before rush, but they aren't necessary.

If you can go, definitely go.
If you can't, it's okay! Not everyone can go, and the sororities totally understand that! It won't hurt you, it just won't help you.

Not a big deal, gives you an idea about a house's personality and let's some girls get to know you.

being from out of state it was a huge deal for me... I rushed two years ago and I remember through out my first semester my older friends told me that it was great that I went to the spring tea because it really put me on their radar.

It's great if you can swing it, but if you can't, make sure you get recs for each group.
