southern sororities

Florida is not considered the South. Mostly girls from Florida are too flashy for Alabama sororities.

Not south Florida and usually not Tampa or Orlando. Jacksonville, Pensacola and Tallahassee yes.

PS -- I think zeta has south Florida actives and I am sure many others do. But focus on better new row unless you are connected to an old row in some way. Look for fit.

I can name 10 girls off the top of my head from Orlando/Tampa who are old row and are UA 19. I am one of them. It's possible, don't listen to this bs.

I know tons of girls from all over florida in the top houses on campus. I know Zeta has A LOT of florida girls.

honestly don't worry about where you are from unless you are trying to go KD or KKG. If you are the whole package then any house will be happy to have you even if you are from Alaska or another really northern state.

They have non-Southern members, but the vast majority of these girls will be from Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Mississippi, a few high class Texans, and maybe some Louisiana and Florida in there. There might be the occasional California or East Coast girl, but those were at the top of their schools and have money, I promise.
DDD, KD, Phi Mu, Chi O, and mostly A Chi O and Kappa, but not as much as the others
Healthy mixes
AGD, Pi Phi, ADPi, AOPi, Zeta
Sororities far more accepting of OOS girls and have girls from everywhere
Alpha Phi, DG, Gamma Phi, DZ, Theta
And that's why top houses stay on top in ALABAMA. Because they recruit from here and their girls stay here after graduation.

@how - you've obviously never been to the neighborhoods or schools where top houses at Alabama (and Auburn, to be fair) recruit from. There are normally so many good girls to choose from, that only the tip top end up Old Row and many end up in the "Healthy mix" category.

Pi Phi in the last category -- they have girls from everywhere, especially Chicago.

Tbh if you are not southern, start thinking new row unless you want to feel excluded a lot. There are always exceptions but this is truth.
