for the people blaming the students..

About the arrests by the Tuscaloosa PD that went viral.
Do cops have the right to enter your home without permission? No.
Do cops have the right to enter your home without a warrant? No.
When a cop asks you to leave your home and go outside, do you have to go? No.
Can someone be arrested without knowing what they are being arrested for? No.
The cop was inside the home and grabbing the guys arm, clearly violating the students' fourth amendment rights. Sure maybe they were drunk and loud and annoying, but under no circumstances should we be blaming the students for what happened, and the police should not have been as violent as they were. This was a clear example of police brutality and abuse of power.
Also, the fraternities and sororities these students are in should have no reflection on the fraternities and sororities as a whole.

They should have shown more respect. If the police show up, it's "yes sir". If they had an issue with unlawful entry, they could have addressed it through the legal system afterward.
I was raised to respect authority. These kids just provoked them. Sorry for the outcome, but it didn't need to be that way.

I watched the video, I watched it multiple times. I heard "yes sir" and "no sir" over and over. The occupants of the apartment have a right to know what they are being arrested for. The boy who was tased and beaten was on the ground with his hands protecting his face. He was not resisting. The cops over reacted, case closed.
