"run the campus" - What, SGA President and Homecoming Queen? This is probably the last college in America that even cares about those silly things.
Most other campuses SGA is a bunch of dorks, and no one even knows who HC Queen is....although it is probably just the inbreds who care anyway.

SGA does a LOT on the Alabama campus, it is actually a pretty great thing because at least there are students with the power to change things on campus. People in SGA and also the Machine pretty regularly go on to holding positions at the University.
