1. No more than three. Any more than three and you look like a try hard, or like you're only focused on that one house.
2. Actives aren't allowed to write recs (at least in my org). This is mostly because the actives have their own platform for commenting during chapter voting. Writing a letter would be redundant.
3. You'll get invitations to the spring teas.
4. Sundress or cute skirt/top. Snappy casual. Do not be weird. This is not the time to show that you know every single fact about the sorority. It comes off as creepy.
5. Do not go to that party. At all. If you are seen with that sister, the other houses will associate you with that girl's house, and you will get dropped like a hot potato. Also, if you get in trouble or get sloppy, a lot of houses will not be interested in you. Better to just stay away.

1.How many rec letters max do the sororities want? 2 max.
2.Is it a faux pas to have a letter written from some one still in a sorority? No, but some chapters won't accept them. Really try to get an alum to write it.
3. when typically are spring teas and what are they? Usually late March/ Early April, you come to the house and enjoy snacks and iced beverages and talk to girls in the sorority for as long as you want.
4.What should wear to them/ do at them to make a good impression? Wear something comfortable, most girls last year wore fur vests with dresses and boots. Just wear something you would wear to a nice dinner, it doesn't need to be too formal.
5. is it not a good idea to attend a party with a sorority member if they invited you to stay for the weekend and your visiting the campus as a high school senior? not 100% sure on that one, i know girls who did it last fall that got black listed but that was for other reasonings while they were out. If you go out, don't try to make yourself stand out and do NOT drink too much.

1. One. We tell girls to get 2 in case the alum doing the first one forgets, or puts it off too long.
2. An alum is preferred. A college member at another school is OK...but an alum would be better.
3. May not have spring teas this year. But if they do, it's casual.
4. Look neat and put together, dress for the weather. Again, it's casual.
5. Don't go to parties. Too much could go wrong. You could wind up being "that high school girl" that everybody talks about all summer. Plenty of parties after you pledge.
