Alpha gam may have been thrown under the bus in this instance, but the truth is that this could be any house that has to answer to a "machine". Pnm's should choose their houses wisely- do you want to be in a chapter that focuses their attention/resources on providing the best experience for its members and keeping their sisters happy, or that focuses their attention/resources on carrying out the dirty work of some shadowy backroom board, to keep some frat boys with a god complex happy?

Good point but I don't think any house would have caved like that. There were and are some serious resentment issues in agd between the sisters and the girl they agreed not to support was former leader and certain sisters agreed to sell her out and committed the house to be on board with machine person from pm. They could have easily stayed out from under the bus.

What agd really has is a sisterhood that is split between independent minded strong leader types, who are pc12 and pc13- and so are from a generation that values real and true leadership. That group tended to not like machine politics and want campus improved for all. That group got agd crosswise with machine. Machine is disciplining. That group does not want to abide by this discipline. House as a whole wants to stay close to machine and pay penance. And some time soon get back to normal. So his is some division on politics but agd does have a quality sisterhood

I see why everyone is bashing Alpha Gam by not supporting their sister. But if this situation was happening with any other sorority I'm sorry but I just don't think you would act any different. Alpha Gam should yes learn their lesson but how about breaking up this stupid "machine" that is dictating everyone's opinion. If your going to blame AGD fine but also blame the machine.

For the love of all things holy just get over it. Alpha Gam is a strong house and always will be. This thread lasting months reaks of petty jealousy. What makes it even more ridiculous is that all this is over homecoming queen. Really? Who cares? In 5 years no one will even remember their names.
