According to news reports:
The 2015 homecoming court is Katie Baggett, Lauren Beers, Jasmine Davis, Katelyn Katsafanas and Halle Lindsay.
Katelyn is an Alpha Phi - which is not a machine sorority.
Halle is the AGD apparently referred to in this thread?
Are the others sponsored by Greek organizations? Are they "machine"?

Yes, Halle Lindsay is the AGD referred to in this thread. But Katelyn is a PHI MU, not an Alpha Phi.

This lengthy discussion and media attention indicates that the time is right for a coalition of strong women to step forward and take charge of their own destiny. The Machine is only as strong as the power YOU give them. It is naive to think that the entire social life of Greek women will dissolve if the sororities stand up for themselves.
It is simple math, you have the numbers so you have the votes. Greek women were only invited to join the Machine because the men realized they could not win elections without the sorority vote. What have you gotten in exchange?
Not much, unless you think Homecoming Queen every 10-12 years is a worthy prize.

I don't see greek women forming a coalition to go against the machine, per se. But if all the sororities did not show fear of frat retribution (as the AGD text messages clearly show) and did not react to that fear by towing the line even when it is aginst their core beliefs... then you cannot tell me the boys could do anything about it. A machine made up entirely of frats would die. They know it. We know it. As soon as the sororities show they will not follow instructions for fear of social retribution, the threat will be exposed as hollow. Machine boys are not going to stop wanting to have swaps and parties and let the non-machine frats take up all the slack and skyrocket in relevance. Come on. Get real. They are bluffing and we know it. But we follow anyway. That is why this is so strange.
