It doesn't reveal who you vote for. When you send in your confirmation it only says that you voted not for whom.

The machine is made up of guys and girls who decide TOGETHER who to back for homecoming! It it NOT a group of guys that tell the girls what to do.

And I'd like to add that just because we are told who the backed candidate is, not everyone votes that way. I know in my sorority (who is in The Machine), they ask us to send in voting confirmations so that they know everyone is actively participating, but they don't force us to vote any way.

SO you may not vote for the backed candidate, but the majority of your members do. Just the fact that the Machine is directing every election gives the candidate a huge advantage. BUT WHAT SAY do you all REALLY have in who that candidate will be???? You have the votes so you should have more control of the process. TAKE control!

There is only one way this is going to get better but it would take more backbone than most greek women apparently have. It looks like the girls in the old row houses are okay with the system because they get a chance at homecoming queen every ten years or so, and the new row houses in the machine are pathetically grateful just to be allowed in the machine so they don't complain. That leaves GPB, KAT, etc. as the only ones with backbones. Hum.....

Alpha Phi is not in the Machine either. Gamma Phi, Theta, and Alpha Phi are the 3 that aren't in it-the rest of New Row and all of Old Row are. Just wanted to clear that up.

I think coach Patterson is still around and, per the link, she has been promoting the gymnast for HC Queen, so.... what exactly is your point? Wonder who Duckworth votes for? I bet it is not Miss. Machine.

That lots of groups put deserving women up for court, because it's an honor to be in that top group. Even if you don't WIN. Nobody says, vote so and so for court. They say vote for queen. I couldn't begin to speak for who coach D will vote for, but I am sure she will want both girls to get to be on the court.

All the machine girls have her pic posted in profiles. She is not hot enough to be our hc queen. Just another pageant girl with a charity platform. I am voting for the gymnastics girl.

I am not a Phi Mu (nor am I in a sorority that is a member of the machine) but I do think Katelyn seems like a really wonderful person. I do not know who I will vote for at this point (for me, it's between Katelyn and Halle Lindsay) but I do think both of those girls are more than qualified and I would be proud to call either of them our Homecoming Queen.

And by the way, it's not just a "charity platform." Her boyfriend was the Theta Chi who committed suicide last year so it's something she is really passionate about and involved in. Maybe learn more of the facts before you make huge assumptions about someone you don't know. You're just embarrassing yourself.

Be real. The phi mu was put up because the clear best and natural choice is Halle Lindsey. Who is an alpha gam ... But, you see, she is spiller's girlfriend and she was a big leader in his campaign. It is not about the qualifications of the phi mu. It is about beating spillers at something. Anything.
