spring

have any chapters had a lot of girls dropped? or discussed take more girls to increase chapter total in the spring?? I don't know when's too early but I'm really hoping to be able to become a member in the spring.

Have you looked into Sigma Delta Tau? They're Panhellenic and will give you the same opportunities and are growing.

...you'd really have to make some good friends in a chapter that was doing spring recruitment. These things don't tend to be advertised.

Spring Recruitment usually isn't advertised (it's not like Formal where everyone is made aware of which events to attend and at which houses etc), but since chapter total has been increased to 390, you could look at last spring's grade reports, take away the seniors who graduated last May, add the NMs and you'd have a pretty good idea of who is under that 390 number. It might be hard for someone not in the Greek system to find some of these numbers though. Your best option is to make good, genuine friends (from any chapter) in your classes, dorm, campus activities etc and then show them how you would be a good asset to their chapter so if they do decide to do Spring, they'll let you know.
