questioning ua
by: AGHi guys! I'm considering applying to UA, and I really want to be in a sorority. However, I've heard some awful things about the initations and everhthing. I understand you're not supposed to talk about it, but is it as demoralizing and phycologically traumatizing as I've heard?!

Well, obviously let's hope these are all rumors. I think highly of UA, and it's my top choice. Just wanted to confirm what I hope and think is fake :)

My initiation in sorority ABC was awesome! But ritual depends on every organization so I guess it depends on what their ritual is.
100% being honest here... I have two friends in two different sororities who said their initiation was "creepy" afterward.
We were hanging out and had just been initiated and I said I had a great time and then friend #1 said that her initiation in sorority DEF had a creepy part and friend #2 said yeah sorority GH had a couple of creepy parts. Then we shut our mouths because we weren't supposed to be talking about ritual to anyone outside of the sisterhood and we realized we messed up.
So I don't know what happens in the other houses and I can only speak for mine which was not scary.

Used code names for the sororities because I don't feel right revealing anything more but I wanted to make sure you know I am talking about 3 different sororities in my post.

Nothing about any of the rituals - pledge or initiation - of the 26 N.P.C. sororities could possibly be demoralizing or psychologically traumatizing or we'd have all heard about it by now. Truthfully I can only vouch for mine, not the other 25! I can tell you I've heard quite a bit about many of the others' rituals and I bet I know what "Um" is referring to! 😉 There are no boys circling body parts at any time although I have heard of sisters doing this in two different N.E. states.

Well, telling me rumors of stripping down and having frat boys mark all your flaws is pretty demoralizing..
