I won't say what sorority I am in but my sorority has done fall COB in the past. Usually happens middle September/October.

It wouldn't be any use to you because if you have to ask you don't have the connections necessary to get a bid

Obviously COB (if it happens) is not advertised and in that case...the girls we take in the fall are NOT randos. Good connections are the only way in and if you're lacking that then oh well. There are other options.

I will also say most of the girls who get bids in fall didn't participate in formal recruitment at all (they didn't drop out or get dropped)

SDT is doing recruitment right now. Why don't you check them out? It might very well be your last chance to go greek.

Yes, groups that have a few NMs drop or who met/went over quota but are still not at total can COB in the fall, but as others have said, this is done very quietly and you really have to have good friends already in the house pulling for you to have a chance to get a COB bid in the fall.

What about spring? Better odds for randoms that dropped out of formal?

So what I'm hearing everyone say is that if we're a random girl then we have no chance of getting a bid through cob unless we are just so dang more interesting and all the girls love us and want us... Since this will not be the case most likely, we should form friendships with new members and actives in order to maybe successfully go through cob in the spring or formal next fall...??
