Alpha phi and Zetas vid made alabama sororities stand out for once. Everyone always talks about how hot florida state or arizona sororities are while we couldn't even make it on the top 10 lists online lol. Props to them for showing the world that we actually aren't the one tooth uneducated incests that people try to portray us to be and that we have just as many beautiful girls. I think more houses should do them honestly. Although they could talk about their philanthropy and sisterhood still... job well done

That stupid vid didn't help aphi. By spring they had fewer actives than any. other. sorority. They cob'd 16 with terrible grades in the spring and still had less than any. other. sorority.
It's all in the online grade report.
So keep bumping topics about how hot and awesome aphi is. The facts aren't so awesome.

The problem isn't jealousy or bitterness or envy as far as I can tell.
It looks to me like the problem is that there is a controversy about what constitutes a top house. Long time Bama supporters think it is connections, reputations, and legacy. Supporters of houses like Zeta and A Phi think it is looks and public recognition.
Just from talking to people I know, though, it seems like this is more a controversy for alums etc. than for people who actually go here.
It seems like recruitment sorts out which girls choose and are chosen by AXO, XO, etc., and which ones choose and are chosen by ZTA, AP, etc. It's kind of like apples and oranges. There aren't girls going to AXO and AP for pref.
So I'm suggesting that you just stop. There doesn't need to be one exact rank that everyone agrees to. Some people would look at academics as the most important. Some houses choose girls for their looks. Others look for leadership or connections or other things.
So let's just calm down and associate with the people we want to. If a girl chooses A Phi, that's fine. If a girl chooses AXO, that's fine. If a girl chooses Theta or Gamma Phi or DZ or DG, that's ok too.

Perfect! This is the best comment on here. Houses are different and that's fine. Lots of different kinds of girls go through recruitment and there needs to be lots of different kind of houses to make them feel at home.
Your perfect house is the one that you choose and which chooses you. That's the top house for you. The whole concept of top houses is just important for the very rare girl who is never released from any house. Which house will she choose? Most girls don't have that choice so it doesn't really matter which house you say is tops. She can only choose the best house for herself.
If a girl gets released by Alpha Chi (as an example) and goes to A Phi, that's where she needs to be and that's the top house for her. If she is released by Alpha Chi, visits A Phi and decides they're too shallow and looks oriented for her, she might be a perfect fit for Gamma Phi or Theta (again, just examples). Those would be her top houses.
So stop pretending that one size fits all here.

Yes, please do check the grade report. APhi had the requirement by surpassing 3.0. They may have the lowest GPA, but a "B" average still puts them above average with grades.
And, I remind you again, be concerned with your own house and not others. It makes YOU look bad (and your house) when you decide to post nasty comments.
