intramurals

by: Sporty

Are any of the houses particulary serious about intramurals? Or does everyone treat them as recreation and don't really go all out to win, but instead just want to have fun? I ask because the frats seem to really be into it and it made me wonder if the sororities were really into it to?

Also, do freshman participate much with fraternity pledge classes in co-ed intermurals? What sports?

I play soccer and at the spring teas, it came up in conversation a couple of times because it is my main activity and some of the houses acted like they were competitive with it in intramurals. Whether a house has a soccer team in intramurals could be a factor for me.

Not really sure about intramurals, but you may want to check about houses that are serious about Homecoming/Greek Week! Those are both great ways to play on a sports team for your sorority and get really competitive. Soccer is one of the sports, along with dodgeball and basketball and a few others during both weeks. Chi O won Homecoming last year and Pi Phi won Greek Week. So you might want to keep those houses on your radar and other houses that seem really into Homecoming/Greek Week/intramurals.
