Can anyone explain how the system determines final bid?

alot of people care... and if you notice every time someone asks about the real rep of DG no one can answer that either...103 nm is pretty good, for their 1st year with a house.

maybe if someone explained the actual snap bid process, it would encourage those who think they might get cut fro their top choices, not to drop out

People care because it says something about a house. Maybe one year something could happen where 3 houses are competing for the same small pool of girls, but if it happens again, it means they're not getting the girls they're going for and are dropping the ones they could get.

People just want to know...

DG is doing GREAT for their first recruitment in their house. They got some amazing girls this year!! Of course they aren't going to be considered top tier..they are way too new and UA's greek system is way too rigid for that. But they are doing much better than people expected them to do...they seem to have higher standards (in terms of grades, classiness etc) than some houses that have been on campus much longer. All in all, DG is a great house at UA- definitely "up and coming". Give them a few more years and they will reach their potential. Actives and new members should be very proud of their hard work and success!

Thanks, I accepted a bid to DG but people are being so mean, I feel like I should be ashamed. They seem to be really nice girls, I want to be involved and proud of my sorority, but I was confused by the reactions of others. Thanks for your comments.
