Girl who got her bid rescinded for talking abt death
by: nosyI saw redacted screenshots from a Facebook Bama sorority moms group about a girl who got her bid rescinded the morning of bid day because she apparently talked about death/true crime in an inappropriate way and a sister reported her. Does anyone know anything about this? I know realistically most people on here don’t even go to Bama but figured it’s worth asking just because I’m curious

A Bid was rescinded. A PNM said many troubling things throughout the process. Due to the algorithm, the PNM kept getting invited back and was invited back to the Pref round. During Pref, the troubling statements continued.
Because she was only invited back to one house, that house was forced to include her on the Bid list. When this was discovered, the house took immediate action getting their local advisors involved, Nationals, and Bama Panhell. Their Nationals and Bama Panhell approved the rescission of the Bid based on the facts presented.
The PNM’s mom has been very vocal on social media about the injustice and did not share all the facts (and she may not know all the stuff her daughter was saying).
Just know that three different governing bodies approved the rescission so you know the upset mom is omitting facts or just doesn’t know them.

I heard this too but it's hard to figure out the full story. possible theory is she brought up something that was personal to that sorority. like a true crime story that involved a member of that chapter at another school /in the past. And then clearly everyone was really upset.

This is such a crazy situation. How did she make it to pref round is my question? It was the only house she had left but having been on that side it does happen sometimes I guess. I support the sorority. Sometimes you have to do what’s best for your house and if 3 governing bodies approved it I feel confident it was warranted.

Do a better job at getting to know PNMs. I get these rounds are FULL houses, but every PNM is talking to at least one active member. Active members, you're in charge of membership selection for your sorority. If you invite a girl to pref, she is on your bid list, even if she's last, and she can receive a bid. It's said OVER and OVER again. Girls need to pay attention and when something is off, say something.

I hope this girl gets the help she needs or she is headed for much more dire consequences in her life than being removed from a sorority, and she may be likely to harm others. That mom has probably seen these signs in her already but has her head in the sand. This is a cry for help and it needs to be listened to.
