What is Nola like?

NOLA is super fun. Yes, you spend the whole weekend with your date. You leave on Friday and stay in hotels and they have a dance/bar hopping/other events. The guys pay for everything. The girl just decorates a cooler for her date and fills it with his favorite beverages.
I have a fraternity boyfriend and have gone with him the last two years and set up a ton of my sisters with his friends. It’s one of the best weekends of the year.
I have many friends that go to multiple NOLA weekends so the cooler decorating grind is real.

I would also add that you do share a room with another couple, usually, and you share a bed with your date unless you've already had a conversation about that. When I set up my two friends (with guys they already knew) with my date's friends, there was a pre-agreement that my two friends were sharing a bed together and they didn't care where their dates slept. If you are not in a relationship with your date, it can be awkward if you don't have the conversation before you go.
I have only shared a room with another couple so if hooking up is happening, its not happening in the room...for most dignified girls even if you are with your boyfriend.
I find the most awkward thing is to share a room and bathroom with another girl you don't know. The dates my boyfriend's bestie has brought to Nola have been rude and hot messes. Its why I usually try to get my friend's dates.

For me, hooking up literally wouldn’t have even been an option bc of the other couple we were with. Nola is super fun and VERY drunk all the way thru, so you get a mix every time. The second night for me, the other girl made her date sleep on the floor and we shared a bed. I personally s didn’t leave my date throughout the whole trip, but I have friends who ditched their dates at the beginning and hung out with each other at the Beach all night. Hooking up is almost never expected tho unless it’s a Jefferson fraternity, aphi/zeta, or y’all have a single bedroom

The traditionally “Southern” fraternities tend to be more “Southern gentleman” types. They’re much less likely to pressure girls like the Jersey guido Pikes do.

The Jefferson comment is completely untrue. I agree that Pike is a whole different story but they are unlike all the rest of NR/Jefferson fraternities.
