The Out of State Hate Train needs to stop

by: Truth

The post that have been made recently calling out out of staters by names need to stop. It’s like people are so prone to target anybody in PM, Zeta, APhi, Pi Phi, PiKapp, Theta Chi, Pike, and Sig Chi because they don’t want to act fake and conform to some southern standard they are uncomfortable with. Nobody wants to be hated on simply because they swapped cut outs for ruffles or because they’re not a bunch of guys who have some hometown bias and actually want to meet people across the US. Truthfully, it’s just people mad because they wanted to see these people peak in high school and realize they are having a better time in college. People did not come here for high school 2.0 and maybe that’s why didn’t join certain historic chapters. Do better bama.

exactly this!! school like uga, ole miss, ohio state, and indiana use to have big in state bias and have old row/legacy/historic organizations but quickly learned that people go to college where they go bc they just want to have fun and not care about hanging out with same people they went to school with. it’s truthfully not a problem anywhere but alabama schools… sad but true this state can’t move on from hate.

Indiana might not have an in state bias but the people who post on their GR are self absorbed, ignorant and just unbelievably asinine and immature. I’m not saying they are representative of the entire Greek system…but if they are members of the IU Greek community, it’s not a good sign.

Why do people choose a university in the deep south and then get mad because it's southern?

You don't need to be Greek here to meet people across the US, party, and have fun. If you don't like the Greek system here, don't join.

Exactly. No one is owed membership at any house.
