Block Seating Shift at BD
by: Right directionCan you believe it’s only been 6 years since sororities applied for block seating? I remember my older sister being worried that the good fraternities wouldn’t swap with them if they asked for a spot. Now, we get to be in front! I look forward to the day when the sororities control ALL the Greek organizations spots (because GPA, involvement and attendance are the control factors) and “the boys” have to beg the ladies to get any spot in the section.

That is never going to happen. The Machine runs the U and Greek life and the Machine is ruled by OR frats. The OR frats give the sororities who are part of the Machine some benefits...like rotating which sorority gets to have the Homecoming Queen...but don't be fooled, the OR frats and their alum still rule the school and that is not going to change any time soon.

Unless the frats start pulling their weight in membership and involvement, OR or otherwise, they are going to get left behind. The sororities at UA don’t haze( unless you count the bruised fingertips from pomping)like frats do. When girls hear about fraternity hazing, it icks us out. Y’all are outnumbered by 300 members per house. Yeah, you have parties/ darties but getting sprayed in Natty and watching some balding 20 year old urinate along the fence isn’t making me want to give up prime seating in BDS. The girls band together and vote for HC queen. We have the numbers but keep telling yourselves you “control” us while getting friendly in your favorite sock.

Which alums do you think run the Admin and therefore all facets of the University...including all the people selected in the Office of Student Life. Even the student elections are rigged because of the large voting blocks of the members of The Machine.
Tell me you are not this naive.
AL State politics are even run by alum of OR and The Machine.

The Machine doesn't decide block seating. Office of Student Life does that.
