AL student body is very diverse. Students of color constitute over 25% of the total student body.

The Greek system as a whole is also very diverse. What is never mentioned here is that Alabama has 8 chapters of the 9 historically African American Greek organizations on campus (they are referred to as the Divine 9)- 4 sororities and 4 fraternities. Their recruitment is separate from the Panhell recruitment but just as competitive if not MORE competitive than Bama’s Panhell Fall recruitment.

African American girls can decide to rush a Panhell sorority or a Divine 9 sorority. Many prefer the Divine 9 because of legacies, family traditions, connections, etc.

So it’s the wrong kind of diversity?
You can join any sorority.
What’s the point of your post? To try to out Bama as lacking diversity?
Nice try.

Bama itself has diversity - the greek system does not.

The university as a whole is fairly diverse, although maybe less so than your home state’s college would be if you’re from like California or Texas. The panhel system isn’t very culturally diverse, but race isn’t an issue - girls who fit the sorority mold of all races rush and do well, and at least nowadays you won’t be discriminated against by race alone
