Another is this true question (looking up addresses)
by: ChezMoi
Is it true that sororities look up your home address to see how expensive your house is?
If so, what do they do with that information? Cut people who live in inexpensive areas? Invite back people who live in million-dollar houses? Or is this just an unfounded rumor?

Here is the god-honest truth: yes, sororities use addresses, but not the way you think we do. We will use hometowns and neighborhoods to try to match a PNM with actives from that area for rush. We also match by major, extracurriculars, and other interests and activities. We do this so that each PNM has a chance at good rush conversations and feels at home at our house, and so that we can discern if she would be a good fit. Are you cute and fun and confident? Would you fit with the vibe of our house and be an asset to us? We can't tell that if the conversations don't go well. If you have never been through rush as a sister, you have no idea of the amount of effort that goes into it, and you would not realize that WE DO NOT HAVE TIME to research addresses to check if they are in pricey areas. That information wouldn't matter anyway - see above. If you want to know about sorority rush, go ask a sorority member or alum. We are all around you and we will tell you the truth.

Doubt the op actually is a pnm. Crazies that tt attracts during rush post junk like this to stir it up and cast shade on sororities and greeks in general. There are also plenty of trolls who aren't even in a house or mad about the houses that dropped them who do the same. Don't take the bait.

It’s about “match” with the girls in the house.
This doesn’t take checking your address for home value. The zip code, the school you attended, your parents profession, trips and vacations, vacation homes, clubs, people you know and share connections, will all paint the picture.
In an extreme made up example, your parents can have a “fortune”’in property and in the bank, but if you were home schooled, sewed your clothes and canned your food, you may not find much in common with the girls in the house.
It’s also true that there are girls whose parents are definitely “stretched” who find a match because of what their debt has been spent pursuing.
Despite these examples, the reality is most girls are what they present and THAT should be the focus - to find a match with girls in the house.
Find your fit and be yourself. \n\n\n\n\n

If it’s so unreliable why are you on it? Why are you so worried about what people are asking if it’s so useless? Some pnms this is all they have. Obviously you know that because as an active you’re still refreshing the page for the newest post to b()ch at and another Pnm to discourage. Be nice. And if you can’t, at least list your house so they can cut it. Lol
