I am from the South and I will be the first to tell you the pressure is not what it use to be. Maybe in a handful of small towns, but not everywhere. I was getting recruited hard at several OR houses due to my connections, but it just wasn't me. I had superior grades and resume, top Bama scholarship, and I know how to dress while putting my God-given attractiveness out there. I knew right away I wasn't going OR and I preferred a "looks/hot" house right from the start. I wanted to make my own way in a house that I wanted to be in and not one that I was pushed to be in because of connections etc. I couldn't be more happy to be in a top NR house regardless of what anyone says. Love it!

It was about being considered as hot is one of the most boring categories to rank Greek women.

Same here, not from the south but I had a great grades, extracurriculars, and was really involved in my community back home, and some OR houses showed a lot of interest in me and invited me back all through rush but in the end I chose one of the looks houses because I connected with the girls more there
