spring rush question

It depends on who you ask, there is nothing wrong with spring rush though some more entrenched houses do not do it as usually the class sizes are small. Though some houses do even old row when they see that there numbers will drop based on December graduations. In reality 100 member chapters are now a requirement for fraternities and if a house sees that they will drop below that number going into Spring rush they will look to up their numbers
For the top houses that number is 150.

What?! When was the last time an Old Row fraternity did a spring rush? Also, I have never heard that 100 members is a requirement. I know plenty of Jefferson house’s with less than an hundred members. Are you getting Alabama confused with your sorry excuse of a school?

I would imagine just looking at the huge houses that their mortgages are really up there and need 100 or more members just to cover "rent"?

The individual chapters do not pay for their own mortgages. If that was the case dues would be way higher.

Dues pay for more than mortgage. Social budget, brotherhood events, house upkeep which is separated from the mortgage.

If you want a new house, the University requires 100 members minimum to qualify for financing. It is the University the covers the mortgages. In regards to the 150 number just look at the top houses and how many are above 150?
In regards to old row and spring rush? SAE took 1 last spring.
