Active here and this really is misleading as a question and I don’t agree with the above response. If you want to attack social media for only being a highlite reel, then you really need to apply that equally across all accounts that use it- schools, businesses, organizations.
So the real question should be who abuses social media by constant posting or more contrived efforts? It’s not contrived to post something about a fundraiser that you just completed and sharing some photos. But creating committees to create Tik Tok dances, spending countless hours on Tik Tok. That should be the question.
Many of our Greek organizations take less time on social media than others. We are more focused on being involved in our campus and making an impact in our community.
