Graduate School

What do you think about taking grad students as new members? Much more settled and mature. Could make good members, show leadership and pay their dues.

1) Why would a grad school student want to be in a new member class with 18 year old freshmen? This is your friend group, and older classes are already tight with each other and looking ahead to phase out of sorority life into graduation, so there's no place for a grad student to fit in.
2) Grad students are not eligible to join many of the extracurriculars that sororities value having their members in.
3) Grad school is a lot more intense than undergrad. It is already a juggling act for all the time commitments for undergrads. Thesis, TA or RA position, research assistant, what the hell are you thinking?
4) Why would a grad student be better able to pay their dues?
Hard pass on that membership. At a small school with a low key Greek life maybe, but not at Bama.

A grad student at a swap with freshman boys. Right.
