Spring 2022 Membership Rankings/Stats
Since everyone is so busy posting drama, thought it might be good to post something factual for diversity sake. You’re welcome.
The following sororities had top stats for membership at the end of 2022:
Top Three
1. Kappa Delta 426 with no COB
2. Alpha Chi Omega 424 with no COB
3. Phi Mu 421 with no COB
Top Half:
4. Pi Beta Phi 409 with no COB
4. Alpha Gamma Delta 409 with no COB
6. Kappa Kappa Gamma 408 with no COB
7. Chi Omega 405 with no COB
8. Delta Delta Delta 400 with no COB
9. Alpha Omicron Pi 396 (plus COB 6=400)
Mid:
10. Alpha Delta Pi 391 (plus COB 5=396)
11. Delta Gamma 386 (plus COB 19=405)
Upper Lower:
12. Delta Zeta 376 (plus COB 4=380)
12. Zeta Tau Alpha 376 (plus COB 10=386)
14. Gamma Phi Beta 356 (+COB 13=369)
15. Kappa Alpha Theta 294 with no COB
Lower:
16. Alpha Phi 292 (plus COB 50=342)
17. Sigma Kappa 224 (plus COB 4 =228)

It should be noted that the chapters at Alabama are all strong in comparison to other universities, but this helps show where they stand in relation to each other based on actual numbers share from reports.
Talking about COB:
The following 9 houses did COB and the membership numbers above reflect the actual total before COB and after:
Alpha Phi - COB 50
Delta Gamma - COB 19
Gamma Phi Beta - COB 13
Zeta Tau Alpha - COB 10
Alpha Omicron Pi - COB 6
Alpha Delta Pi - COB 5
Delta Zeta - COB 4
Sigma Kappa - COB 4
Delta Delta Delta - COB 2
It’s interesting to note that some of the chapters that stood in the upper half of membership stats still chose to take a few members for COB. While some talk about COB translating as not being a top chapter at Alabama, that clearly isn’t always the case.

Paired with rankings from the Spring Grade Report, these numbers give a better indication of actual rankings at Alabama and show the strengths of the actual chapters in comparison to each other.

Kappa Delta does not get enough credit on here for sure, some people aren’t gonna like this but it’s good to see numbers and overall this is positive

Had a scandal and did what they needed to do to clear people out and rebuild. They did great.

If you look at the official reports shared by the university, they did not do COB this is taken from Spring Report 2022. Possible they did COB another time but not this year. It would have been recorded

You obviously aren't a Kappa Delta, so calling BS on you. You are just another lonely wannabe obsessing about a house you will never be a member of, in a greek system you know nothing about.

They are shared twice a year by the university. New numbers will come out immediately following end of the semester and you can see a lot from the data - as it separates the new members from the actives. Shows trends and how recruitment actually played out. Without the numbers to back you up it’s just opinions

the fall semester numbers on the grade report only show total new members for the semester, not how many of those new members were cob following fall rush.

Yes -
You fill out the COB form on the Panhellenic website and if any of the houses want to offer you a bid they will contact you! Receiving more than one is VERY rare but not impossible.
If you decline the bid or don't receive one then you can participate in rush the following year.

@??? They are chapters not houses. Combined with grade reports and awards received, it makes a better picture. The size of a chapter and it’s ability to recruit without doing informal spring recruitment is an important piece of the rankings puzzle. At least it’s based on something measurable, unlike 90% of the made up rankings on this site.
