Snap bids last year

Anything you hear about a house giving snaps is just hearsay. It's not public knowledge who gives snaps and a lot of times the chapter membership is not even told by their recruitment chair that they issued snap bids. This protects the privacy of pnm's who do get a snap bid so they are not singled out in any way, and it also protects the houses from the inevitable stigma they would endure for snapping. It doesn't mean a house is not desired by pnm's necessarily, it can often be that their RFM numbers were off and they cut too many in earlier rounds.

PNMs will know that they got a snap bid so unless they tell people about it most people won’t know about it

There will be lots of rumors but very few- if any - snap bids.

The chapter I advised on another campus missed by 1 one year - the new member we snapped attend all our parties except Pref and I don’t think anyone other than the President, Rush Chair & other advisor ever knew we missed quota or that that NM was a snap. Well, probably her roommate if she had one. But really tight circle.

She ran home on Bid Day with the rest of her NM class.
