Is sk even that good?
by: HiiI know they are a newer sorority but I heard that they usually get a bunch of leftover girls which kind of sucks cause I don’t know how I would feel about getting a bid from them simply because they had no other option.

They are a great group! Yes, they are new...came in 2018, but they have grown a lot. The girls are very genuine and down to earth and they have a very good sisterhood. They get a bad rap on here but honestly, it's just not true. SK is getting a new mansion soon. It's already underway.
They make cuts like any other house. And PNMs DO choose them because they fit their values and they feel at home there. Keep an open mind.

They don’t get leftovers. Nobody is a left over. They have standards just like anyone else and won’t accept girls that don’t align with those. They cut people, they participate in events, they have all the opportunities of other chapters. They’re newer but honestly once they get their mansion they will probably lose a lot of the stigma on here. This website isn’t very trustworthy as a review for any chapter. Go where YOU feel you are valued and cared for. Keep an open mind and don’t let the internet or anyone else’s opinion affect where you end up. At the end of the day it’s for you to decide. If you get a bid and like the house whatever it is, accept it. If you don’t, drop and rerush next year.

I ultimately dropped out of rush when I was down to 2 houses, but some of the nicest girls I met and best conversations I had were at SK. The whole rush process lacked in substance IMO, but I’m OOS and had no idea what to expect or how the process worked. I just expected more opportunity and more real conversations. It was a pretty shallow process and I’m comfortable with my choice. I’m sure it works out for most, but the process deserves criticism. I hope SK and others in the supposed mid to lower tiers do well. Plenty of girls don’t want to be a stereotype.
