They also hand out bids in April to the ones that matter so lots of OOS guys don’t get into top houses. It’s not as regulated of a process as sororities.

I know ranks don’t matter but I am genuinely curious to know what they are without biased 😂

You know how the European royal families ended up with weak chins from too much inbreeding? That’s sort of what happens with OR frats that bid their old high school boys in April and call it a day. The frats that spend the rest of the summer filling up their pledge classes have a much stronger gene pool. Heck, even some of the Jefferson frats that don’t fill up until formal rush have better genes.

Ranks are fake. Made up by people to feel better about each other. But they’re established and are going anywhere since everyone is so competitive.
In alabama, tradition is super important. So a lot of ranks are based on history. But now that we take so many students not from around here, the ranks changed a bit over the last 20 years.
Also a lot of schools ranks are just based on looks and popularity. Bama actually to our credit takes things into account like grades and activities like girls in student government or girls on cheer.

Truth: If you are in a sorority and don't think that your house is the best one, you really have missed out. Ranks are solely based on people's opinions and how much a house says that they are top and others are mid or bottom. Each house offers the same sorority experience and every house has beauties, smarties, sweeties, go-getters, and every kind of amazing girl, and every house has the not-so-good people too.
