If You are a No Show for a Party
by: FYII'm a sophomore and on the Active side for the first time. Our house had our first no show for a party yesterday and it wasn't because the PNM dropped. Apparently, when this happens, our recruitment chair contacts Panhell with the PNM's name and Panhell shares the no shows with the other sororities. I'm sure each sorority can do what it wants with that information (I'm not sure) but its not going to look good for any recruitment chair that spent their whole summer preparing). PNM's NONE of you are too good for 400 members in any of the established houses here. Learn some manners and play the game. And, this won't be last time you will have to do things you don't want or follow rules...your trying to join organizations that have rules for the good of the house. Act accordingly.

No, this is not what happens at all. First of all, her Rho Chi would already know if this pnm was not at her scheduled house. This does occasionally happened when there are extenuating circumstances, such as sickness or injury, or an urgent family matter, whatever, and any sororities affected would be notified by panhellenic of the situation. Second, if a pnm truly did just blow off a house, panhellenic would immediately dismisses her from recruitment and notify any remaining sororities on her schedule to remove her from further consideration.
