6, 4, 2. Still got the top house from beginning of rush. What does this prove? Just because you don’t have a full schedule doesn’t mean your rush isn’t “successful”. I took a confidence hit after Philanthropy schedules came out, but I found my home and couldn’t be happier. Once I found them I couldn’t care if I had a full schedule or only one house as long as I had that one

I had a full card each round and was only technically dropped by one house. And I knew no one coming in and wasn’t heavily rushed on social media beforehand. But to be fair I also dropped houses that would’ve most likely dropped me back after our convos weren’t the best during different rounds—might be an unpopular opinion but don’t just keep a “top” house just because they’re top if you don’t connect with the actives you talk to…you probably won’t be happiest there if that’s the case

I came fairly naive as well - from OOR.
Would even get confused with some of the houses and Greek letters. Some tended to run together and would get mixed up in my rankings.
Had my favorites and those I liked the least. Remembered them.
But my opinion on some houses would change round to round depending on conversations. A few favorites stayed pretty consistent - and they remained through pref.
Got the house I wanted - full card.
PS - my personal experience is different than a lot of why I see posted on GR.
What I remember most - the heat. And a little stressful, but also fun. I felt bad for girls struggling with few returns. I’d recommend not sharing return results if you can avoid it. It caused some tension between girls with different outcomes.
I feel like it went well for me - had good grades, looked appropriate (but not over the top with “brands”, a few Rec letters but didn’t obsess. I got to pref with an OR house that supposedly “requires” rec letters (my second choice) - although I didn’t have one, and had friends with the same “no Rec” with bids and/or to pref with other houses too.
Honestly, I think being friendly, able to converse with a lot of different people, being positive and polite but “natural” at the same time, is what “wins” in the end.

I did have a full card. A lot of it is probably because I had a 4.9 GPA. Even with all of that, I ended up in my 3rd favorite house.

Rush is exhausting and stressful. It's normal to get emotional when your mental state is not the best from being out in the hot sun all day and not sleeping well.
Too bad you couldn't be more understanding and thoughtful. I guess it speaks to you and your house.

Wow - judge much? I tried to console my roommate for three hours - a girl I just met days prior. My point was she was extremely emotional. Do not get your heart set on certain houses on the first day.

I do love my house but was heartbroken that Kappa dropped me. I am from out of state and not sure if they actually ignore out if state girls. The girls I've met are fun and cool.

unfortunately, they do ignore out-of-state girls and have events and bar tabs for local girls only. It is ridiculous!

OOS- 3.5 - 1 sport, 0 clubs , lots of volunteer work
Lots of activity on my social media from a mix of houses.
Philanthropy- 8
Sisterhood -Max which I believe was 8.
Pref - My top 2 - one that was #1 from the start , the second was my next favorite from round 2.
Got my top choice which is also viewed as a top house but we all know that is subjective. Love my house !!!
