Why does being out of state matter

Genuinely curious why being OOS/OOR matters… especially if it’s a neighboring state. I truly don’t understand why some girls are disliked because they’re from another state.

No one is disliked per se - put houses such as KD and Kappa mainly pick girls they know. Plenty of great houses to choose from.

Disliked is the wrong word. It's just about connections, and plenty of girls from neighboring states have excellent connections here. For example, if you're from Atlanta you probably have some great connections at Bama. Sorority members already know some pnm's because they are from the same hometown, high school, etc. Girls from Alabama and nearby states have already existing connections with each other so those girls have an advantage, which is just common sense to favor known acquaintances.
