Transferring sororities
by: curiousIs transferring from a chapter at another school into a sorority here from out of state looked down upon considering how competitive Alabama rush is? And even if your chapter was good where you transferred from?

Affiliation with another chapter here isn't necessarily up to the person transferring. Most sororities have the right to decline to accept a transfer for membership if it is deemed she is not a good fit. The transferring member's chapter being 'good' or not is completely irrelevant; it's entirely about the individual member. As far as being looked down upon, no, not really that, but strong friend groups have already formed and it can be hard for a transfer to assimilate into any of them.

I wasn’t planning on transferring here, I know someone who’s thinking about transferring to a bigger school like this and just got to thinking about all that. Thanks for answering my question.
