Dorm situation for transfer/ 30 year old
by: TransferWhat is the best dorm for someone going back for a second bachelors? I am 27 years old and single. Would still like to meet people since I am out of state. Maybe one of the riversides or ridgecrest. Idk honestly deciding if it’s worth it or I just do this online. Feel like I want to take some classes in person at least to get that Alabama experience

Reach out to people who are also older like u (on Facebook groups) and try to find someone to room with. Just thinking that would be better than staying with borderline 18 yr olds and getting a “creepy” reputation solely for being older. Not saying not to live in the dorms just don’t live there if u can’t find older roomies as well

pretty much all the dorms are freshman dorms. i would live in a nice apartment and get involved that way. all the suite style dorms do have freshman and it’s mostly all freshman. alabama even kicked some sophomores out of their dorms so they would have space for more freshman. i see what you’re saying but there are not really any dorms like whay you’re describing.

Thanks guys. The dorms I listed I had no idea about that’s why I asked here lol I wanted to gauge the students and see what’s up. At my undergrad there were dorms specifically for older students/graduate. Thank you all for the advice. Have no issue getting apartment I just wanted to acclimate and meet people while at Bama
