Ranking is dumb

This is gonna be a long post so strap in.
Ranking is dumb. It assumes that every house is looking for the exact same type of girl when in reality, every house is the best at getting the type of girls that they want. Saying zeta is better than alpha gam (just a random example I made up) because they’re hotter doesn’t mean anything because alpha gam doesn’t look for the same traits as zeta does and goes for the more academic type. It goes the other way around too. I constantly see houses being torn down in here, more in new row than old row (but alpha gam and kd still get hate too), and especially more academically focused houses like alpha gam, dg, aopi, etc. because they aren’t “hot” or “social” enough. Y’all. It’s 2021 why are we still ranking and judging girls based on their physical appearance and not their character? It’s totally fine that some houses recruit based on looks, but to rank the houses and determine who’s the “best” based on looks is super shallow and it assumes that every house is looking for the same set of criteria, but they’re not. the houses that don’t pimp out their girls to frat guys get the short end of the stick. Why do y’all care so much whether some jerky frat guy thinks you’re hot? You’re worth more than that. Maybe if it was still the 50s and 60s when a girls worth fully depended on her husband, it would matter what guys thought of you, but in this day and age tons of girls pursue their own careers and have way more freedoms, so why are some of y’all still attaching your worth and value and what a drunk frat guy thinks of you? Every single house on this campus is great at getting the girls that THEY want according to the standards that they hold. Periodt. Let’s stop calling girls boring just because they value education and sisterhood and place less emphasis on looks

Bump! Rankings depend on what one person wants from a house! Kappa is known for being a party house, but has one of the lowest gpas. Alpha gam is the complete opposite. Kappa doesn’t want to become alpha gam, and alpha gam doesn’t want to become kappa. Each house likes their reputation and recruits girls who they believe will fit in. It’s crazy to me that people try to rank/compare these houses when they are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum. Rankings on here are like comparing apples to oranges. You just can’t do it. Each house is going to have something they excel in more than other houses which would make them top in that aspect, and something they struggle in which would make them bottom.

You completely missed this persons point. The point is kappa and alpha gam don’t look for the same things in pnms so it makes no sense to compare them. Same goes for literally every house

Kappa ranked 13/17 on gpa fall 2020 if you don’t count sk and sdt. 13/19 if you do

STFU! Yes there is! GR is the most important part of greek life at every school. This site is necessary and factual and you should stop trying to ruin it for those of us who live on this site! I've given 8 years of my life to this site, daily making the big schools have something to talk about. How DARE you say that it doesn't matter. Next time just say thank you!

Kappa doesn’t have one of the lowest gpas? Usually they’re middle of the road
