Will my GPA hurt me
by: concernedok so i am graduating hs with a 3.5 weighted GPA. I’ve had sororities interact with me a lot and my involvement with my community is great (have like 500 community service hours) i’m in student government and got a great internship. with all of that, i’m still worried about my gpa hurting me because it’s still not super high. do you think it’ll really hurt me??

Pretty much the same GPA but unweighted and resume. I had 8 for both philanthropy and sisterhood. Preffed my 2 top choices. Ended up in a so called top looks house. I did not really seek out recs like I should have . I did not have one for KD, Kappa, AXO , ADI , SK , PI PHI , or Alpha PHI and was dropped first round by all but one of those. Also one of those houses was all up in my DM’s and photo comments all summer long so I was super surprised they dropped me.
I would expect to be dropped by AXO, AGD and Chi O first round with that gpa and I would highly recommend not being lazy with getting recs like I was.
I noticed many girls who had a full card after first round drop to 3 or 4 for sisterhood so I guess all and all I had a good rush.
