If you had a 3.0 and below - what did your recruitment look like and what house did you end up in?

I had a 2.8 I got 6 houses back after open house 5 for sisterhood & preffed my top house & one I didn’t like, I suicide bid and went my top house

I had a 2.975 hs gpa. I elected to wait until my sophomore year and focus on my studies. I still got to go to a few date parties my freshman year and all home football games with a date. My roommate freshman year had a similar gpa as me and was dropped by all but 3 houses for philanthropy and had only one house for sisterhood and pref. She left UA after her sophomore year ( low grades, wrong major, always on academic probation).

I had a 3.45 gpa going through as a sophomore. I was dropped by AGD, AXO, and XO for philanthropy, but I had a full schedule. I had 7 houses for sisterhood, and three for pref (we went 16,12,8,3), mix of old and new row. I know FOR SURE I would have NEVER made my sorority had I rushed as a freshman with my low gpa, even though my low gpa definitely didn’t define me as a person or student. I graduated with a 3.8 gpa and had 3 amazing years in my house!

I had a 3.0 and only got 3 houses back first round. theta sk and sdt. also had a good resume. 2 varsity sports in high school, yearbook chief editor, ran 2 clubs, and worked multiple jobs throughout hs. stacked resume and it didn’t help boost at all

Nope I got to sisterhood round. I probably would’ve gotten one but I Knew i still felt no connections. I just Wasn’t comfortable “running home” bevause I didn’t feel at home. I just withdrew from rush myself. I ended up rerushing later and got a house that wasn’t top of my radar by any means more like middle ground but I enjoy it a lot. Thankful for that at least.

You are looking at SK or SDT unless you are super desirable otherwise, if so maybe someone takes you as a grade risk...mid level house if you’re lucky. I had similar grades in 2017 and got cut to 3 after IWT then 2 after Philanthropy. I continued and went to 2 for pref. Ended up in mid house as a grade risk. I love my house and feel fortunate.
