relationship advice before recruitment?
by: advice!!I'm currently a senior in high school and I've been talking to a boy who's a freshman at bama, some of my friends have been saying its a bad idea just in case he's talking to multiple girls, and one/some of them spread rumors about me before rush. Would your advice be to just lay low and not talk to any boys until after bid day? or am I overthinking it?

Tbh girl, proceed with caution. I'm gonna be super real with you here. The fact of the matter is this guy is now in college surrounded by girls his age and could date someone in college if he wanted to. He's either talking to you because:
1. He genuinely likes you (you said you went to hs with him, so it could be possible if you guys were actually close friends)
2. You're an easy option and he's not well-intentioned.
A college guy going for a senior from his high school is a big red flag. Why isn't he pulling girls his age in college? If he's not interested in them because he's interested in you, fine, but if that's not the case... Run.

Thank you! My concern is more so to do with how the "relationship" will effect my rush experience, I'm completely aware he could be talking to and doing stuff with other girls right now which is why I'm scared the girl/s will find out that I'm talking to him too and automatically get me cut from their houses or spread rumors about me. I'm still young so I'm not really taking any relationship seriously yet, I'm trying to think long term
