rushing in fall

is it hard for girls that are on the quieter side to get bids? i’m rushing but am very nervous because i’m a little shyer than others

Yes. If you check all the other boxes (grades, recs, etc) pretty much all that matters is how much the girls you talk to like you. If you’re really shy that doesn’t help

You do need to do ur best to put on a good rush and be outgoing and likable

Now is the time to practice small talk. If your parents are ordering take out food, offer to go pick it up and chat with the host or hostess while they get it together. Get your face out of your phone and talk to people in checkout lines. The more you do it, the more comfortable you will be at it.
And, be honest with the girls talking to you at rush. If you’re nervous, say so. If you’re excited, say so. If you enjoyed talking to them, SAY SO!!!

Yes just be honest!! If you walk into a house there is no shame in telling the girl you are a little nervous, it’s another conversation starter in a way too

yes, a lot of sororities would drop you if you did not talk during recruitment. lol. but i also do not talk a lot, so i had to fake it until i made it which got me into the sorority i wanted, granted do not pick a sorority if you know it is not a good fit for you, but if you know that the sorority is for you and will help you come out of your shell then go for it! all the best x
