Diversity of Sororities

All houses are welcoming to women of color. In fact, if you have a good profile (good grades, involved, etc) then you’ll probably be pretty sought after since all houses want to “appear” diverse.

Houses where you won’t be a “diversity pick” but find other diverse sisters: Phi Mu, DG, AOPI, Theta, DZ

You can rush all houses but realize you’ll be tokenized, especially in this political climate. But hey, that might be a good thing! You could end up as VP or Prez of your chapter. This is NOT making light of the election! I truly do think POCs/WOCs will go far in NPC Greek Life going forward and hold many positions with in Panhellenic and their chapter, but it will come at the cost of being tokenized. Which is truly unfortunate.

Im a WOC and rushed this year. Before rushing, I was worried and nervous that I wouldn’t feel accepted. I got mostly new row houses back each round and was dropped by mostly old row. I ended up in a new row house at the end and had many woc in my pc. I feel accepted by almost everyone in my house. I recommend you rush since you might regret it in the end if you don’t. You can always drop if you don’t like it! :)

There is some stupid logic on display based on responses.

To say WOC are only tokens, because each house only has a few is flawed based on who many WOC sign up for rush? If more WOC rushed than the houses would have more diverse members. You can't bid non-existent prospects.

WOC should be encouraged to rush not told BS based on history.

Yes, 20 years ago a WOC had no chance of getting a bid though today it is a different story.
