Can someone explain SDT? Are they an NPC house and do they participate in formal rush? I keep seeing them in ranks but I thought they were an “alternative” house?

They are apart of the NPC but not sure why it doesn’t seem like it with this chapter. Most other chapters at other schools participate in formal rush like every other sorority

they’re not popular enough to do formal rush. their chapter here has like 40 girls, if that... compared to the 400 girls every other house has.

They did formal this time due to uncertainty over whether the university would stay open or not. They usually hold their own recruitment a couple of weeks after formal and then COB the rest of the year.

how did they do formal rush if they have a significantly smaller # of girls than the rest of the houses?

Duh, they did it over Zoom like everybody else.

Again, they weren't expecting to get a pledge class the same size as other houses -- they did it anticipating that they might not have a chance this year to hold their own regular recruitment later in the semester.

i know they did it on zoom like the rest of the houses... i meant how did they talk to pnms one on one if they have a significantly smaller amount of active members?

I agree. Idk why nationals let struggling chapters keep going as if they’ll magically become a better house overnight.
