Party for the Zeta that died ?
by: PaigeAnyone else think it’s weird that Zeta’s basically throwing a party for the girl that died? Like you couldn’t think of any other way to raise money for the family? And you think a party in the middle of a pandemic is a good idea?

This is a genuine question and I’m sorry if it comes off as rude or naive...
What’s the purpose of the fundraiser? The family accumulated 30k from the gofundme that was started so the funeral and other expenses are easily paid for. The flyer that was posted on social media says all proceeds go to a hospital but why? Like the money isn’t even going towards the family or like a memorial at Zeta/on campus.

Not to be rude but considering alcohol might have been involved in the accident, why on Earth would you have it at a bar, Zeta? Why not have a yearly picnic for her or do a rock painting event so you could place memories of her around the exterior and interior of the home? Just my thoughts...

A reminder because yes I’m that person... just because the bars are open doesn’t mean it’s safe to go to them when you know there’s going to be large crowds of people not wearing masks and not social distancing. I’m NOT saying people can’t go out and have fun, or in this case have a memorial/wake for someone who’s passed, but there are SO many other things you can do as opposed to going to a bar during a pandemic.
It’s just not smart to have a sorority sponsored event at a bar at this time... and I would say this if ANY house did this, not just Zeta.

Using their dead friend as an excuse to drink and party during a pandemic? I’m not usually for zeta slander but if true this is wack
