Is it better to get letters of rec from alumni?

Alabama will hold more weight, unless the alum is a big time donor and known by nationals or the UA chapter advisors. If not UA, another SEC chapter would be the next best, or a chapter everyone knows is really strong (like a Pi Phi rec from a UT alum). If that’s not possible any rec is ALWAYS better than no rec.

This could be her first time thinking about it and she’s just trying to get as much info as possible. I’m from far oor and when I was thinking about coming here and rushing I came on this site cause it was one of the first things I came across
