What is suicide pref

If you end up with 2 houses for pref and you put both down then you’re guaranteed a bid from one of those houses. If you decide that you hate one of them and wouldn’t accept a bid from them so you only put down the other house, you’re not guaranteed a bid and will be dropped from recruitment if that house doesn’t put you on their bid list. It’s really risky and that’s why it’s called suicide bidding

You have a better chance of getting your first house if you don’t suicide, than if you do.

This is because if you suicide, you’re not guaranteed a bid. So if you suicide, and you don’t fall on that houses bid list, then you’re SOL and you just fall off the list completely.

If you list both houses, you’re guaranteed a bid from one of them, even if that means they have to add you manually to a bid list, you have to be on one chapter’s bid list no matter what.
