What is the truth about KD?
by: PNMThey look nice on insta but reading stuff on here, they sound awful. An alum in my hometown says they are the most exclusive house at Bama. Is that the real reason no one likes them?

Their rushing is rude. They focus on a few and leave others with boring, surface small-talk. That’s the worst to me.
Every other house makes all pnms important, as said above.
They are so focused on their status girls and frankly, just are not chill. KD gets on my last nerve with how disillusioned they are. They’ll take all legacies, but don’t really welcome many. It’s sad!
What results from this is a divided house of sisters - they don’t know how good things can be bc this is all they know. Take the advice here or settle and regret.

I think you’re a little dramatic. If 50% of the house were unhappy, why don’t they drop? KD never COBs so they clearly don’t have a retention issue.

They don’t drop bc they have absolutely nothing going on outside of their sorority membership. So they hang with their clique in the house, go to swaps, eat, repeat.
Oh wait! What will happen this year? All of their activities will be gone.
KDs don’t know any different so they accept that as normal.
There are other delusional sororities- alpha phi, a lot of phi mu, and about 1/2 of alpha gam. Still haven’t recovered from their ridiculous, phony sisterhood party.
If you want normalcy go: kappa, ddd, axo, xo, theta, gphi, dg.

my friend from out of state went KD our freshman year & the girls were so mean she hated it so much she left alabama and is now a KD at another school. she would tell me stories about how much they exclude out of state girls (they send texts to the in state girls only about photo shoots, etc) this is a great house but not for an out of state girl.. i feel so bad for them :(

KD is a great Sorority one of the top! You will have so many lower and Kappa , Chi O trying to dog them. But anyone who is from Alabama and goes to Alabama knows KD is very exclusive and very good. If you get a bid from this sorority you will love the sisterhood because they are all extremely close.

Another rude comment from the friendly KDs. Kappa is top tier and always beats KD and pretty sure XO could care less about KD - They don’t really cross rush.

LOL snap bids are practically a KD tradition. As somebody else already stated, they're infamous for getting overconfident and cutting so many PNMs that they have to scramble to make quota.

Good try, anyone that goes to Alabama knows KD is one the hardest houses to get in, and they have never given a snap bid. If you don’t believe me, call the Panhellenic office or know someone that actually knows about it, instead lying to try to make your sorority look better.

Actually I do know two people who were given KD snap bids so no need to call anyone. 🙄. This doesn’t mean they aren’t top but their rush tactics usually leave them wanting in bid day

This is a middle tier house with the potential to return to the top, but they need to make a ton of changes. When 50% of your house is unhappy and wishes they had made a different choice, something needs to change. Instead of “made the right choice” try “made the right change” and do better
