by: pls answerok what is the deal with alpha phi? is it truly as horrible as people on here make it seem. I can honestly say that it’s in my top 5 houses i’d like to be in but it gets so much hate on here which makes me feel bad. is there something bad i’m not noticing about them? i truly am interested in the sorority because i like the philanthropy and they look like they have a good sisterhood but who even knows anymore. alpha phi is arguably one of the most popular sororities nationally, and definitely has that stereotype surrounding it but i feel like the reputation it has at alabama does not match its reputation elsewhere. (for example: university of arizona alpha phi is their top and most sought after house) someone lmk i’m curious why it’s so frowned upon and why people on here say the only people on campus that like alpha phi are alpha phi girls....

Do your own research regarding how they go about recruitment per their Nationals. This was a large nationwide story last year. They were exposed by a member at the University of Michigan who couldn’t stand it anymore and decided to say something. Of course I’m sure they have tried to clean everything up off the internet by now but they cannot deny it because this girl had the recruitment guidelines straight from their national office. There was even an IG page devoted to it that I saw last year but that’s probably gone too. Heck, this posting itself will not be up for long do take a screen shot of it!

Alpha phi has just changed their legacy policies to not give preferential treatment to legacies in order to be more inclusive. has every other house done this? applauding all the ones who have

people say they’re on here self ranking and talking about how great they are yet ppl write all this and can’t keep their name out their mouthes. same goes for a few other houses that get consistently bashed
